Vitae Biomedical Expands Collaboration in Kaunas to Bridge Clinical Validation and Technology Integration
2025-09-19

Vitae Biomedical Co., Ltd. continues to deepen its engagement in Lithuania by expanding collaboration across research institutions, medical centers, and innovation ecosystems in Kaunas—one of the country’s key hubs for life sciences and medical technology.
During the visit, the company engaged with Kaunas University of Technology, ALEX Kaunas Innovation Park, and medical centers affiliated with Lithuanian University of Health Sciences to explore opportunities for integrated development and cross-border clinical collaboration.
At Kaunas University of Technology, discussions focused on combining sensing technologies, data analytics, and engineering capabilities with Vitae Biomedical’s ongoing development of a benchtop urine-based diagnostic device (POCT). The collaboration aims to accelerate both product development and clinical validation through multidisciplinary integration.
The visit to ALEX Kaunas Innovation Park provided further insight into local innovation infrastructure, including incubation support and technology translation resources. These capabilities are expected to facilitate future collaboration and support the transition from research to real-world application.
In parallel, discussions with clinical teams at affiliated hospitals addressed the feasibility of multi-ethnic clinical trials, including study design, sample collection, and regulatory considerations. By integrating Lithuania’s clinical resources with its own diagnostic technology, Vitae Biomedical aims to strengthen cross-population validation and accelerate global deployment.
This engagement marks an important step in connecting clinical validation efforts with technology integration and future market entry strategies. The company will continue to expand its international collaboration network, supporting the translation of non-invasive diagnostic technologies into scalable healthcare solutions.
